Announcing one of the symposium's inspiring speakers

We're delighted to be able to announce that Lydia Butler, European Environment and Sustainability Graduate at Samsung Electronics, will be speaking at the 'Educating Global Citizens' symposium on Friday 15 April 2016.

This is UK's first international student sustainability research symposium, giving undergraduate students from any university the opportunity to present their own research at an academic symposium. As well as having the chance to hear about other students' research, delegates will also hear from two inspiring keynote speakers.

We can now announce that one of those speakers will be Lydia Butler, who is currently working as European Environment and Sustainability Graduate at Samsung Electronics. During Lydia's time at the company, Samsung has celebrated achieving Gold Class in the 2016 Dow Jones Sustainability Index, receiving the Carbon Trust ‘Best in Product Carbon Footprint’ award for their Galaxy S series carbon footprint reduction and achieving total improvement in Product Power Efficiency by 42% over six years.
