Apply now to present your postgraduate research at an international symposium

Is your research changing the world for the better? Apply now to present it at the UK's first international student sustainability research symposium taking place at the University of Southampton on Friday 15 April.

We're inviting applications by postgraduate students to present their research in a dedicated presentation stream during the symposium. Successful applicants will have the chance to win prizes for their presentation skills, and have their research published in the symposium proceedings following the event.

What kind of research are you looking for?

Sustainability isn't just about the environment; the presentation themes covering a broad range of topics across (examples are non-prescriptive):

  • Arts and Humanities (Ethical Fashion, Historical Civilisation)
  • Business and Law (Corporate Social Responsibility, Social Enterprise)
  • Engineering (Low Carbon Technologies, Human Factors in Engineering)
  • Health Sciences (Inequalities in Health, Use of Green Spaces)
  • International Sustainability (International Politics, International Trade)
  • Science (Carbon Footprinting, Ecosystem Services)
  • Social Sciences (Population and Consumption, Behaviour Change)
  • Technology (Impact of Social Media on Society, Open Access Resources)
