Dr Lipi Begum, Lecturer and Postgraduate Option Modules Leader at Winchester School of Art, invites you to the Houses of Parliament to celebrate the launch of the book Styling South Asian Youth Cultures: Fashion Media and Society (2018) and the Open Space special issue of International Journal of Fashion Studies (issue 5.2, 2018) on South Asian Fashion Studies.

Rupa Huq MP will be in conversation with the editors and authors Professor Reina Lewis (London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London), Dr Lipi Begum (University of Southampton), Dr Rohit K Dasgupta (Loughborough University), Dr Hena Ali (University of Westminster) and Dr Sneha Krishnan (University of Oxford) exploring the developments in youth cultures and fashion media within Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.


The discussion will be followed by a Q&A and drinks reception.
