Dates and themes have now been released for the 2014/15 TEAtime series:

Thursday 2nd October, 2014

- STEM Theme: Exploring the Depths

- Humanities and Social Sciences Theme: Anarchy and Revolution  

 

Thursday 27th November, 2014

- STEM Theme: Our Changine World

- Humanities and Social Sciences Theme: Social Change 

 

Thursday 12th February, 2015

- STEM Theme: Innovative Engineering

- Humanities and Social Sciences Theme: The Holocaust

 

Thursday 19th March, 2015 

- STEM Theme: Light

- Humanities and Social Sciences Theme: Power and Control 

 

 During the half-day sessions (10:30 - 15:00) participants attend a seminar/workshop followed by a main lecture. Information on undergraduate courses, finance and careers will also be available. Participants recieve a complementary lunch and TEAtime is free to attend for all sixth form schools and colleges

 Targeted widening participation schools and colleges will be provided transport, all other schools and colleges must provide their own transport.

 

Upcoming Events in 2013/14

For 2013/2014 we are holding four half-day sessions centred around the  fundamental aspects of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM). Join current PhD students, early career researchers from across the University of Southampton, and guest speakers from industry at our TEAtime lectures.

Tuesday 19th November, 2013

- STEM Theme: Innovative Engineering - power, waste and environment

- Humanities and Social Sciences Theme: War and Revolution

 

Monday 10th February, 2014

- STEM Theme: Sound

- Humanities and Social Sciences Theme: The Holocaust

 

Tuesday 18th March, 2014 

- STEM Theme: Evolution

- Humanities and Social Sciences Theme: Wealth and Poverty

 

 During the half-day sessions (12.00 - 15.30) participants attend a seminar/workshop followed by a main lecture. Information on undergraduate courses, finance and careers will also be available. Participants  recieve a complementary lunch and TEAtime is free to attend for all sixth form schools and colleges
