The University of Southampton
Adolescent asthma study

Phase II

In Phase II we will undertake a small study of the new approach to teenagers with asthma. About eight clinics around the UK will participate with each randomly allocated to the new approach or their current practice. This is the fairest way to assess whether the new intervention is helpful as it minimises the impact of other factors that might affect the results. Patients will be assessed before and 10 weeks after their clinic visit. This will help us to assess whether the new approach has improved their asthma self-management.
