Event details
This is a fascinating seminar which looks at the philosophical and social arguments for and against the use of A.I., and will include speakers from the Centre for Machine Intelligence, Political and International Relations, and Quantum Black, a boutique AI research institute part of McKinsey & Co.
It will be particularly fascinating in the light of the recent scandals over data usage by the likes of Facebook and also the disruption of airports by drones, and the opportunities and constraints that AI presents. The seminar will be preceded by a complimentary drinks reception from 4.30pm (in Room 6/1083 - Lecture Theatre C), where you will be able to meet some of the speakers and have an opportunity to network.
This current and topical event is free and open to the general public (18+), although will appeal especially to those with an educational background or research interest in data science and machine learning.
