Turing Fellow featured in 'Research Professional News'

In an article 'Bringing AI to the Arts', Dr Thomas Irvine, a musicologist at University of Southampton, talks about what inspired him to apply for a Turing Fellowship and the aim of his project 'Jazz as a Social Machine".

Dr Irvine , who was awarded his Fellowship in 2019, is an Associate Professor in Music at the University of Southampton and the Director of Programmes in Music for the academic year 2019-2020. He is a Non-Executive Director of the Web Science Institute and currently serves as an external examiner at the Royal Academy of Music.
