Turing Fellow featured in 'Research Professional News'

In an article 'Bringing AI to the Arts', Dr Thomas Irvine, a musicologist at University of Southampton, talks about what inspired him to apply for a Turing Fellowship and the aim of his project 'Jazz as a Social Machine".

Dr Irvine, who was awarded his Fellowship in 2019, is an Associate Professor in Music at the University of Southampton and the Director of Programmes in Music for the academic year 2019-2020. He is a Non-Executive Director of the Web Science Institute and currently serves as an external examiner at the Royal Academy of Music.
