VAAE researcher Eric Hamdan has passed his PhD viva.

Eric successfully defended his thesis titled "Theoretical Advances in Multichannel Crosstalk Cancellation Systems" on the 10th November 2020. The external examiner was Prof. Jung-Woo Choi from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), South Korea, and the internal examiner was Prof. Philip Nelson from the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR), UK. Eric's PhD was supported by an EPSRC studentship and was supervised by ISVR academics Prof. Filippo Maria Fazi and Dr. Keith Holland.

A portion of his PhD thesis has been published as an open access article by the Journal of Sound and Vibration (JSV) and another portion is currently under review by a reputable journal.

Eric is currently working as a Research Fellow with the University of Southampton Auditory Implant Service (USAIS) on a project funded by the Oticon Foundation that investigates the use of virtual acoustics in hearing aid research.
