Biography
Catherine Bowen is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Southampton, UK and Honorary Lecturer at the University of Oxford, UK. She received a Ph.D from the University of Southampton in 2009 for a thesis entitled “Investigation of bursae in the forefoot of patients with rheumatoid arthritis using musculoskeletal ultrasound performed by a podiatrist”. Rheumatology and musculoskeletal practice is a central significant aspect to Catherine’s academic role. Her current research investigates inflammatory and non-inflammatory arthritic manifestations within the foot and ankle via the use of gait technologies and diagnostic imaging techniques for which she has a number of significant publications.
