Exploring Knitting: bandages, poodles and guerrillas
In this seminar, Linda Newington will give a visual presentation of her work with the Knitting Collections held by the University Library. She will outline her work through In the Loop , a series of international, inter-disciplinary conferences that have challenged and disrupted the stereotypes of knitting. The first conference took place at WSA in 2008 and a fifth one is planned with the University of Glasgow, possibly in 2015. In between there have been many related projects, some academic, some public and some fun…
