Charlie has come from an extensive career in the fashion, clothing and textiles industry, with over 30 years working in the Asia Pacific region, Europe and Turkey in a variety of different roles. Charlie has previous teaching and learning experience in fashion management and marketing at University of the Creative Arts (UCA) and Istituto Marangoni in London.

After graduating from Huddersfield University with a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Textile Design & Technology, Charlie worked as a design manager in Taiwan before moving to Hong Kong where she worked for over 10 years within the fashion business and manufacturing industry. Charlie returned to London in 1996 to establish her own clothing brands, retail stores and manage a consultancy practice of international project management in clothing related product innovation. From 2007, Charlie has been teaching Fashion Management and Marketing in Higher Education alongside her professional practice. Charlie holds a Post Graduate Certificate & Masters in Learning & Teaching for the Creative Arts in 2011 and is a Fellow of the HEA.
