Coca-Cola Visit

Coca Cola visit

The cohort of MA-Design Management students from Winchester School of Art visited Coca Cola operational facilities in Edmonton on June 30th. This guided tour was organized to link the curriculum lesson plan of product packaging design with industrial empirical practices of Coca-Cola Enterprises regarding graphics art, packaging design, label design and managing brand in the international market.

A combined lecturer was delivered on this occasion by Joseph Bradford, Coca Cola manager and Aqeel Ahmed, Senior Teaching Fellow at Winchester School of Art to discuss Coca Cola brand design and competitive equity.
The students groups were made to develop and present the brief for Coca Cola to launch the limited edition product in the UK market for the Olympics, London fashion Week, Glastonbury Festival, Notting hill Carnival and X Games.

The artistic ideas of the students were discussed in link with consumer segmentation and market positioning of the Coca-Cola brand. Students were also briefed in the production facilities to show the process of mass production. At the end Coca Cola Facilities Manger presented a copy of Coca Cola brand profile as a token of visit.
