Campus & Facilities

The Dalian Polytechnic University campus features specialist equipment and hardware to give our students hands-on experience at an industry standard, preparing them for life after education. The campus comprises new studios for teaching Fashion Design and Graphic Arts, two Mac suites, Digital Printing rooms, Photographic Studios, Libraries, Lecture Theatres and a Cafe.

Dalian Polytechnic University was founded in 1958. Since then it has established itself as the only institution in the Northeast of China that specializes in Art & Design, Textiles and Light Industry. Spread over a beautiful 85 acres, the campus boasts wonderful green spaces in conjunction with industry standard buildings and equipment.

Dalian itself is a major seaport in the south of the Liaoning province, Northeast China, and is the second largest city in Liaoning province next only to the capital Shenyang. Its city centre is a thriving hive of activity that hosts city-wide festivals, sports and a stadium and a large financial district that has seen the rise of skyscrapers. All of this is easily reachable from the campus due to the excellent public transport network.

A thriving, modern and vibrant coastal city, with a rich cultural heritage. Located in Northeast of China, Dalian is the second largest city in Liaoning province. Dalian is one of China's most affluent regions, is home to a large number of hi-tech enterprises and hosts China's long-established international fair for the fashion and textile industry. The city is often referred to as ‘Fashion City’.

Dalian also plays host to many sporting events, with the highly successful Dalian Aerbin Football Club playing at the 30,755 capacity Jinzhou Stadium. The newly opened multipurpose Dalian Sports Center has a crowd capacity of 60,000 people and is one of the largest in the province.
