In these collaborative art and design programmes, Chinese students will study for a University of Southampton degree in either Graphic Arts or Fashion Design, based at the Dalian Polytechnic University in the city of Dalian. The programmes provide Art and Design education designed to mirror the WSA UK curriculum, offering opportunities to progress and transfer to the UK programmes after year 2.
On successful completion of the University of Southampton programme, either in Dalian or in WSA in the UK, students will graduate with the University of Southampton’s undergraduate degree certificate. The collaboration has the support of the Chinese regional and national education authorities.The programmes are managed by staff based in Dalian and WSA, in collaboration with the College of International Education at DPU. The collaboration between the partners and the delivery of the two programmes is reviewed twice a year through the Joint Management Committee.

The programmes are taught in English and in years one and two you will study specialist English Language modules framed within the context of art and design. The modules will allow you to learn and practise the academic language skills you will need to succeed in your University studies, encouraging development of listening, speaking, reading and writing confidence.
High-quality teaching, excellent facilities and the opportunity to work with industry experts on live projects enables students to develop the skills and attributes most valued by the creative industries. The campus comprises new studios for teaching Fashion Design and Graphic Arts, two Mac suites, Digital Printing rooms, Photographic Studios, Libraries, Lecture Theatres and a Cafe.
Applications and admission to the Dalian programmes are done through Dalian Polytechnic University via http://dlpu.edu.cn. Upon successful completion of your study your degree will be awarded by the University of Southampton.
