2011 Entrepreneurship Competition

University of Southampton is running an Entrepreneurship Competition with individual prize pools of up to £10k.

Do you want to be an entrepreneur?

The competition is open to students throughout the University. At least one member of your team must be a registered student. Funding can go to individuals or to teams.

You might want to develop a proof of concept based on your own ideas or project work or develop a business model for your plans. Maybe you have an idea that you need professional assistance to develop further or protect or you might want to launch a company.

We want you to submit innovative and exciting ideas that you want to take one step further.

Closing Date for submissions: Thursday 5th May 2011

Workshops (See website given above for locations and signup)

• 2nd March: "Are you protected?"
• 9th March: "Business Basics"
• 15th March: "Money, Money, Money..."
• 24th March: "The Perfect Pitch"

Workshops are open to any member of the University and are free to attend.

Those considering applying to the competition are encouraged to attend at least one of these workshops and/or to make contact with your Faculty lead.
