Design Thinking in Turkey – a new project at WSA

WSA is the host of a post-doctoral research grant and project on design thinking in Turkey.

Funded by the The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK), Dr Simge Hough will observe and analyse design thinking on the basis of the professional practices of design disciplines in Turkey, from architects to industrial designers.

The work is being supported by Professor Jussi Parikka and Ed D’Souza at Winchester School of Art.

Simge Hough completed her PhD in Industrial Product Design at Istanbul Technical University on design education. Her thesis focused on the use of social media within the processes of design studio course in order to supplement communication among students and lecturers. Previously she worked as a lecturer in Visual Communication Design at Bahcesehir University (Istanbul).
