Launch of Luxury: History, Culture, Consumption

On 26 November Luxury: History, Culture, Consumption, a new journal from Bloomsbury edited by Dr Jonathan Faiers, was launched with an event at The Winchester Gallery.

The was a huge success and was attended by Professor Shin’ya Nagasawa, who holds the LVMH Moet Hennessay Louis Vuitton Chair at Waseda University in Tokyo and travelled over specially.

Also attending, amongst others, were Alex Edwards of Cadogan, Dr Janet Owen, Chief Executive of the Hampshire Cultural Trust, Martin Simmons, Deputy Head of Sparsholt College and Professor David Owen, Head of the Division of Politics and International Relations at the University of Southampton.
