Winchester School of Art academics publish book on India's first art biennale

Winchester School of Art’s Head of School, Dr Ed D’Souza and Dr Sunil Manghani , Reader in Critical and Cultural Theory, recently published ‘India’s Biennale Effect: A Politics of Contemporary Art’ with Routledge, India. The book centres around India’s first art biennale, the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, which had its first edition in 2012. It has been described as one of the most significant newly emergent biennales, alongside Shanghai, Sharjah and Dakar.
