Winchester School of Art academics publish book on India's first art biennale
Winchester School of Art’s Head of School, Dr Ed D’Souza and Dr Sunil Manghani, Reader in Critical and Cultural Theory, recently published ‘India’s Biennale Effect: A Politics of Contemporary Art’ with Routledge, India. The book centres around India’s first art biennale, the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, which had its first edition in 2012. It has been described as one of the most significant newly emergent biennales, alongside Shanghai, Sharjah and Dakar.
