Congratulations are due to former WSA student, Amrit Singh, who has been honoured in a recent awards ceremony held by Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, at Edgbaston Stadium on 15th September.

Amrit studied a Masters degree in Communication Design at WSA and graduated in 2008. He is now a Creative Designer, Artist & Content Creator, winner of the Lord Stafford award for Entrepreneurial spirit and the West Midlands Mixed Media award in Graphic Design, and former WSA student. We interviewed him for the website back in May and you can read the full interview here.

In a further success in his career, he was awarded the title of 'Future Face of Arts and Culture' by the GBCC, in a ceremony celebrating the new and innovative practices emerging from a range of different sectors.

This was the first year this particular category was granted an award as the Chambers wanted to highlight the growing importance of Arts and Culture in their region. This makes it all the more impressive that the award went to Amrit and the wonderful work he does under the name MrASingh.

You can learn more about Amrit's work on his website at https://www.mrasingh.tv/ and about the MA Communication Design degree at https://www.southampton.ac.uk/wsa/postgraduate/taught_courses/ma_communication_design.page

More information about the awards can be found on the GBCC website.
