Event details

All staff and students welcome – primarily this is for Fashion, Textiles and Fashion Marketing. This will be a day of talks, drinks and networking for all of you interested in any or all of the subjects being discussed. Due to the size of the lecture theatre it will be first come, first served. We have Caryn Franklin as our keynote speaker, and other speakers, internal and external talking about the diverse and wide ranging issues of sustainability, the environment, ethical trading including some cultural and historical context. Victim, Kate Hills of ‘Make it British’, Charty Durrant and others. At the end of the day, after drinks (organic wine, of course) and networking, we will be showing ‘The True Cost’, a movie made after the Rana Plaza disaster, about the impact the fashion industry is having on the world. The MA Interim show will be on at the same time, so it’s a good opportunity for us to show our students’ non-waste project Re:Design work, while you drink wine! #WSA_sustainabilityforum We will have a live twitter feed on the day.
