WSA Painting Prize 2023 (28 September – 20 October) Event

The new WSA Painting Prize celebrates outstanding painting practice at undergraduate level, culminating in an exhibition at the Winchester Gallery, University of Southampton this Autumn: 28 September – 20 October 2023 .

The inaugural 2023 contemporary art exhibition seeks to support and nurture innovative work from women artists in Greece and the UK in acknowledgement of the continued under-representation of women artists worldwide.

With the intention of creating opportunities for young female Greek artists in collaboration with their contemporaries in the UK, this initiative invites every higher education institution in the UK and in Greece that offers a BA Fine Art or Painting course to nominate a BA student who identifies as female to submit a work for the 2023 WSA Painting Prize; either a painting or a work exploring painting in the expanded field.
