Description
The course gives participants the opportunity to explore their creativity through the medium of contemporary ceramics. You will be introduced to a range of basic ceramic techniques including coiling, pinching, slabbing and taught how to make push moulds and 2 part clay slip moulds. You will be encouraged to explore and develop your own ideas and designs and will produce a range of finished ceramic pieces by the end of the five-day course.

Description
Suitable for all levels this course includes hand embroidery and beading with a twist
as the instructor is well versed in traditional Chinese embroidery techniques for the
fashion industry. The undergraduate fashion students at Winchester School of
Art have used these techniques in their collections. The techniques taught are suitable for use in fashion, embroidery or quilting projects. All materials provided.

Description
The course will introduce you to basic weave structures and hand weaving techniques used to create experimental and introductory woven textile samples. You will be encouraged to express your creativity using handlooms and will be encouraged to gain an understanding of the properties of yarns in weave design and structure. This experimental fabric manipulation course offers you an opportunity to create
a series of samples, which you can then develop for use in fashion, embroidery or
