Past Present: working beyond the clichés of national identity and place
In this presentation, Nick will consider the challenges and difficulties of developing art works concerned with questions of national and personal identity, without the entanglement of more obvious political ideologies. He will discuss a couple of recent projects that involved extensive research in Ireland, a journey along the border there and a growing concern with on-line sources.
