A solo exhibition by Ed D'Souza at the W+K EXP Gallery in Delhi, India, November - December 2012.

This project was a commissioned solo exhibition at the W+K EXP Gallery in Delhi, India, 19 November - 1 December 2012.

The exhibition reflected on the connections between commerce and culture against the changing context of a globalised India, with a specific focus on the politics of space, activities and lives around the previous W+K Exp Gallery at the DDA Shopping Complex in Sheikh-Sarai.

A 120 page publication edited by Robert D’Souza, published by Weiden & Kennedy, accompanied the exhibition.

The gallery commissioned the artist based on previous projects focused on documentary processes on cultural change through fieldwork in India. The objective of the exhibition and publication was to identify potential for galleries to have impact and influence on their environment and to critically discuss the wider social role of the gallery through engagement with locality.

This project is part of an ongoing research direction where the artist/designer develops projects between institutions, which document and disseminate ideas of how contemporary communication; design and artistic expression can contribute to social understanding and improvement.

The gallery is an innovative space in India and part of Wieden+Kennedy, one of the worlds largest independently owned advertising agencies.
