CDT Students participate in NExT++ Workshop, Singapore

CDT Web Science Students were given the opportunity to participate in the latest NExT++ Workshop, held on 11-12 November at the Carlton Hotel, Singapore along with Southampton academics, Dr Mark Weal and Professor Dame Wendy Hall.

The purpose of the trip is to collaborate and share research ideas with a wider audience, as well as meeting researchers working on a broad range of topics at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Tsinghua University.

The trip included a two day workshop around the theme of “Trust and Theoretical Foundation in AI", with sessions including Trust and Explainability in AI, Research and Applications, and Theoretical Foundation in AI, also included was an industry talk delivered by FinTech

What is NExT++?
A research collaboration between Southampton, led by Professor Dame Wendy Hall, and partners the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Tsinghua University.  The project aims to carry out in-depth research to help users and corporations cope with both big data and paradigm challenges.  See the blogs written by other CDT students here about previous workshops in Wuxi, Nanjing and Singapore
