A group of CDT students took up the opportunity to participate in the 2020 Web Science for Development Workshop. Hosted by the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Bangalore, the three day event brought together professionals from several domains to address issues relevant to the World Wide Web and humanity.

The workshop kicked off with Brave Conversations on Day 1, which encouraged a diverse group of participants to discuss and debate engagement with social technologies.  The Research Workshop the following day showcased presentations from high profile international speakers, including Professor Dame Wendy Hall, Professor Pauline Leonard and Dr Pathik Pathak from the University of Southampton. On the third day, CDT students participated in a themed PhD Colloquium, sharing their latest research ideas with IIIT Bangalore students.
