The CDT hosts its annual writing retreat at Cumberland Lodge, near Windsor

The residential event was attended by nine final year PhD students who were embarking on writing up their research.
Over four days the students benefited from quiet time in the Library to work on key chapters of their thesis, with additional academic guidance from Dr Mark Weal, CDT Director, and Professor Susan Halford, WSI Advisory Board member.
Several CDT alumni offered their own personal perspectives as mentors over the course of the weekend. The participants also took a break to benefit from a lively discussion about Ethical Leadership, led by Dr Jan-Jonathan Bock, Programme Director at Cumberland Lodge.
