As part of the Podcast series '100 Moments that Rocked Computer Science', Professor Dame Wendy Hall joins Professor Sue Black OBE from Durham University to talk about her work with Tim Berners-Lee, inventor of the World Wide Web and shares her remarkable knowledge as they examine the birth of Web Science, delving into the fascinating study of the web from a societal perspective.

In the episode, 'The Birth of Web Science', Wendy says: 'Web Science is the study of the web, but not just the technology. It's about how people use that technology, and more more importantly, how we actually co-create the ecosystem that is the web. It's a very social technical approach to looking at the ecosystem that has become so dominant in our lives.'
