New Editor-in-Chief of Royal Society Open Science journal announced

In a recent announcement, Professor Dame Wendy Hall has been appointed as the next editor-in-chief of Royal Society Open Science.

Professor Hall, who is Executive Director of the Web Science Institute will succeed Professor Jeremy Sanders, who has been in post since 2016. She has been a Fellow of the Royal Society since 2009.

About her new role, she says, "I'm very excited to have been appointed this role. Over 50% of the Society’s journals are now open access with more to come and I'm very much looking forward to helping make the Royal Society Open Science one of the world’s top science journals that everyone can read and publish in".

Royal Society Open Science is an open journal publishing high-quality original research across the entire range of science on the basis of objective peer-review, and covers the entire range of science and mathematics.
