The Web Science CDT hosts its annual Writing Retreat at Cumberland Lodge, Windsor

Each year the CDT organises a special three day retreat for PhD students who are in the final stages of their study.

The aim of the retreat, is to support an intensive three days of writing, with peer and mentorship and to benefit from the experience of academics and alumni in a quiet and relaxed setting. This is an invaluable opportunity to spend time focussing on this crucial time in their studies.

During the retreat, students are able to benefit from quiet time in the Library to work on key chapters of their thesis, with additional academic guidance from Dr Mark Weal, CDT Director, and Susan Halford, Professor of Sociology, University of Bristol.
