Celebrating Computer Science at Southampton

As part of the 75th Anniversary of the School of Electronics and Computer Science (ECS), a Celebration of Computer Science at Southampton event was recently held, bringing together students and academics from across the University.

The day opened with a welcome from the Head of School, Professor Tim Norman, and included talks from Professor Judith Bishop, Professor Sir Nigel Shadbolt, Professor Nick Jennings, Professor Dame Wendy Hall and Professor Tony Hey, Professor Dave De Roure, Professor Michael Butler, Professor Stevan Harnad and Professor Les Carr.

Following the talks, there was an Inaugural Annual Regius Chair Lecture with Professor Dame Muffy Calder entitled '30+ Years of Modelling Computer Systems: What did I learn?
