University of Southampton staff are invited to attend a Town Hall discussion with Sir Alan Wilson, CEO of The Alan Turing Institute (ATI) the national Institute for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.

The University of Southampton is joining this esteemed partnership founded by the Universities of Cambridge, Oxford, Warwick, Edinburgh and University College London, and will be working alongside other new University members; Leeds, Exeter, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Bristol and Queen Mary University London.

This partnership represents a major opportunity to take a leading role in this high-profile national initiative.

In this talk, Sir Alan will present examples of the cutting-edge research already being developed at the Institute, and will share the ATI’s plans and ambitions for the future. This exciting new partnership will offer opportunities to shape the future of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence nationally, and will allow the University to significantly build upon its existing world-leading research activities in these disciplines.

The ATI and the University of Southampton welcome conversations about potential areas for collaborations and engagement.
