Migration and Nationhood on Twitter

Overview

This is a mixed-methods project that examines Twitter ‘conversations’ related to migration/immigration at the time of the lifting of work restrictions for Romanian and Bulgarian migrants in the UK. I investigate what these ‘conversations’ tell us about constructions of nationhood, who is deserving of belonging and citizenship, and practices of uncivility and civility on social media.
