In response to your response to Anna Clements where you mention my
advocacy, I am working closely with Anna - she has the appropriate
CRIS / OA IR combination at St Andrews (and is effectively leading a
strong movement in this direction in Scotland). Of course in the
Ready for Ref (R4R) project Les Carr is producing a CERIF version of
EPrints so that institutions with an OA IR but without a CRIS can
produce relevant research information for management and scholarly
purposes. As you would expect I favour the combination of CERIF-CRIS
(structured, good for management) and OA IR (full text/multimedia
digital objects, good for curation and making available scholarly
output).
