Supplemental Images referenced in Cross et al. 1995.
- The first group (54Kb) show three dimensional pictures of
the calcium levels in various Z-planes of quail fibroblasts transfected
with foetal nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. The surface of the cell is shown as a pink
wire mesh, and the calcium levels in each plane are colour
coded blue (100nM) to red (1000nM), red being highest.

- The second group (59Kb) show the calcium levels in the
lowest Z-plane from the above cells over time. The calcium levels are colour
coded from blue to red, and rendered as height contours, the
higher the peak, the higher the calcium levels. The first image is a control, subsequent
images show the response to the application of suberyldicholine and finally recovery.
