You can print posters for conferences (including multimedia course and IRP) but if its for an externally funded contract you should email km a cost code for a nominal £20 charge (A0). This funds the next £600 of ink!

See the intranet Wiki Help pages on up to date install/use details

This very large (60") inkjet printer allows a variety of sizes/materials to be produced. Most common posters are best made on 30" rolls of heavyweight paper. Please do not try to change rolls yourselves. If you have many photographs and want to try glossy paper etc please contact Kirk Martinez.

Here is a local copy of the driver. for XP

Make sure you don't set it up as your default printer. Don't print a test page!

Use print preview before printing - and make sure the paper layout is going to work as you expect.

You can monitor the progress on http://picasso.ecs.soton.ac.uk but you should be next to the printer when its printing.

Take care with your prints - water/rain will damage them.

There is a cutter slot on top of the printer - which can be used with its knife for trimming (tricky!).

Happy printing! - Kirk
