About Special Collections
Locating Special Collections
The Special Collections Division is situated on Level 4 of the Hartley Library at the University's Highfield site.
Special Collections Open Access (which includes the Parkes Library) houses the more modern printed material; the Archives and Manuscripts and Rare Books searchroom is where the manuscript and rare book material is consulted.
The Special Collections Gallery hosts three exhibitions a year. For information on the exhibitions, dates and opening hours see the Exhibition news.
Access
Anyone is welcome to use the Special Collections, but visits to the Archives and Manuscripts and Rare Book searchroom, which is open Monday-Friday 0930-1700, should be by prior appointment.
Special Collections Open Access follows the Hartley Library's opening hours.
