Event details

This practical hands-on course (near Sittingbourne) offers a host of practical ideas to teach the new bits of the new primary science curriculum and is suitable for KS1 and KS2 primary teachers and science subject leaders.

Great teachers’ know that the best learning in science lessons often occurs when children are engaged in practical science. At first, curriculum 2014 may appear to offer less opportunity for this, but this practical hands-on course offers a host of practical ideas to teach the new bits of the new primary science curriculum. In addition to this there will be opportunity to experience other creative approaches to teaching the new curriculum and learn new ways to get children to record their work in science.

Outcomes

  • Use a wealth of new practical and engaging ideas to teach the new primary science curriculum
  • Introduce new approaches to recording in science
  • Pass on new ideas to colleagues in school

Teachers will leave with the ‘Let’s Get Practical with the Primary Science Curriculum’ pack produced by Primarily Science - this can then be freely adapted to suit the needs of individual schools.
