Dan Quinn MSc Engineering in the Coastal Environment

Hi, I'm Dan Quinn and I studied MSc Engineering in the Coastal Environment within Engineering and the Environment at the University of Southampton.

Though the course involves plenty of work I am really enjoying it and I am considering continuing with a PhD in the area. Southampton city and University both have a fun social scene and it's easy to get away for a while to the New Forest to relax for a day

I grew up in Dublin. Before coming to Southampton I studied Geology in University College Dublin.

While there I enjoyed studying coastal systems and this course offered a way to continue to do so while getting a qualification that is very relevant to industry. I found out about the course from its website and after talking to a friend of mine who was studying in Southampton and writing to one of the lecturers I decided to apply for the course.
