Hours of work

The base hours of work for full time staff is 36 hours per week for staff at Levels 1 and Level 2 and 35 hours per week for staff at Level 3. These hours are worked over a period of up to five days and generally exclude meal breaks.

Staff at Level 4 and above are required to work such hours as are reasonably necessary to perform their duties.

Your normal hours of work are stated in your employment contract and can be viewed in your MyHR Dashboard at: https://myhr.soton.ac.uk/dashboard/.
