A dramatic reading of Adam's new play, THE TEASERS, which arose from his teaching at the University of Southampton.


Adam Brace was born in London in 1980. He works as a writer, director, script editor and lecturer.


Adam's first full length play STOVEPIPE had an 8 week London run in collaboration with the National Theatre. It was produced by HighTide, a company founded by Nuffield Director Sam Hodges. Stovepipe was shortlisted for the George Devine Award, named Best Political Theatre of the year by Time Out Magazine and listed in the Sunday Times Best 20 Theatre Events of the Decade.


His second full-length play, THEY DRINK IT IN THE CONGO, is being produced in London in 2016.


Shorter plays include MIDNIGHT YOUR TIME, a one-woman show for Diana Quick, also produced by HighTide.


His first script for film, BEST, won the 2013 Sundance London Short Film contest and was officially selected for Sundance Festival 2014 in Utah. He is currently under commission to the Donmar Warehouse. As a director, Adam has worked on over 20 fringe productions in Live Comedy and Theatre.


Adam is Associate Dramaturg at Nuffield Theatre and Associate Playwright in the English Department at the University of Southampton. THE TEASERS is the first draft of a play resulting from his work for both the Department and the Theatre.
