The project partners of the Sea Traffic Management (STM) Validation project, ran a Work Camp in Valencia on 10-13 September 2018, in order to share and discuss the progress of the project while heading towards the STM Validation Final Conference in London on November.

The IML team was represented by Spiros Papadas, who is a Research Fellow for the Institute, and made a presentation on the key findings of the legal research while discussing the progress of the final report and the contents of a recent paper he submitted on a relevant matter. The vibrant discussion and the questions on Spiros’ presentation, focused mainly around issues pertaining to the Collision Regulations and on the legal characterisation of STM. The presentation was followed by a social event, organised by the project, where the STM partners participated in a Paella Masterclass. According to reliable sources, the Paella was delightful!
