Event details
Applied Mathematics Seminar
To introduce myself to the department, I will give an approachable outline of my research interests in numerical simulation of turbulent fluid mechanics. Topics will include characterisation of implicit large eddy simulation (ILES), turbulent jets with off-source heating, burning thermals, turbulence-flame interaction in type Ia supernovae, and the transition to distributed burning regime in lean premixed hydrogen flames.
