Event details

David Barker, the Director of the Medical Research Council Unit in Southampton for 20 years, passed away suddenly in August last year. A Memorial Service was held in Romsey Abbey in November last year, at which we celebrated David’s life and achievements. This is a forward-looking, one-day scientific meeting to commemorate David’s work, at which we will explore the future of the science that he inspired. The David Barker Commemorative Meeting, which is being hosted by the MRC Lifecourse Epidemiology Unit (University of Southampton) will take place in Lecture Theatre 1, South Academic Block, Southampton General Hospital on Thursday 18th September 2014.
