The 'Compositions for Cochlear Implantees' project will come to an exciting climax in a concert of new music specifically composed for cochlear implant users at the Turner Sims Concert Hall on 29th September 2012 at 1pm.

The concert will feature music written by the project composer Ben Oliver plazed by an ensemble of professional musicians and outstanding students from the University of Southampton's Music Department. Confirmed performers include: Martino Panizza (harp); Jon Cottle (electric cello); Ben Jameson (guitar); Joanna Stevens (voice); and Dan Priest (percussion and drums). The concert will also include audience participation in a new version of Ben's 'Cheese Suite'.

Project leaders Rachel van Besouw and David Nicholls will introduce the research project with a short presentation about cochlear implants and music before the concert.
