Sounds New performance for Ben Oliver
'Smash and Grab', a work by Southampton Arts and Humanities Research Council Fellow Benjamin Oliver, will be performed by the Aarhus Sinfonietta in the Sounds New Contemporary Music Festival in Canterbury on 24 May 2011.
The piece was chosen by an international panel as one of two winning works in the EU-funded International Composers Pyramid 2010, a collaborative project between Sounds New and the French organisation Coups de Vent. The concert will feature music by some of Denmark’s finest composers and will be recorded for broadcast on BBC Radio 3.
