Nina Halton-Hernandez

Nina Halton-Hernandez

Nina’s research looks to documentary films representing coastal communities across the globe, understanding issues related to cultural and environmental shifts through a translocal approach. She pays attention to the popularity of poetic styles of documentary storytelling in media and on liberal news platforms to engage with creative forms of climate storytelling. In her research, she attends to the relationship between art, science and politics. As a policy associate, she is interested as to how interdisciplinary research can be translated to policy to motivate society to think productively about environmental concerns.
