Tulimegameno Amutenya

As a final-year PhD researcher in Geography and Environmental Science, Tulimegameno Amutenya explores alternative data and methods to enhance subnational population projections in data-scarce contexts as part of the WorldPop research group. Her research uses Namibia as a case study to support more equitable planning and decision-making. Before beginning her PhD, she led data management and capacity-building projects at the Namibia Statistics Agency. Through the Policy Associates Scheme, she seeks to strengthen her understanding of research–policy collaboration and to develop the skills needed to bridge the evidence–policy gap in both domestic and international contexts, supporting data-driven governance and sustainable development.
