Maritime UK / RIS event features the SMMI and highlights Silverstream Technology KTP success

Maritime UK Solent , in partnership with Research and Innovations Services (RIS) at the University of Southampton, hosted an event in March on Highfield Campus to showcase Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) as a collaboration tool for businesses within the maritime sector. Attendees included academics from various maritime fields and representatives from local industries and institutions. The afternoon included introductions, networking opportunities, and KTP case study presentations. Slides from the event are available for those interested.

Professor Susan Gourvenec , SMMI Deputy Director, presented an overview of the SMMI and its capabilities, highlighting key focus areas, projects, and successes.

Highlighted as an example of a success was the Silverstream Technologies & University of Southampton KTP . Professors Adam Sobey and Dominic Hudson , academic partners on this project, delivered their feedback and insights on the project and its impact.
